A native of Philadelphia, Allen has a variety of clinical expertise. A graduate of Neumann University, Allen received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Upon graduation from Neumann, he began working in metal health as an ABA counselor in various residential facilities. Much of his residential work centered around adolescents with neurological dual diagnoses. He focused on intellectual, emotional, and social growth through individual and group instructions and activities.
Allen then transitioned to a Family Based Mental Health Worker position at PATH, Inc, where he provided comprehensive services and case management for the youth and their family. Deciding to pursue higher education Allen began the Master of Science in Clinical Counseling program at Holy Family University. After the completion of his degree, he was promoted to a Family Based Therapist. During his time at PATH, he provided individual, family, and group therapy using eco-systemic structural family therapy model. In pursuit of expanding his clinical experience Allen became a drug and alcohol outpatient therapist working with adolescents and adults at Key Recovery Center. During his time with Key, Allen administered intake assessments and provide individual and group therapy.
Presently he is employed with the Health Federation of Philadelphia as a Behavioral Health Consultant. He has a vested interest in the field of mental health to help all his clients reach their greatest potential. In his free time, he enjoys trying new restaurants around the city with family and friends. He is a sports enthusiast and avid sport watcher of football and basketball.
